Carmindy's 11/22/07 Newsletter

Carmindy asks:

What is your favorite facial feature and why? (1-2 sentences long) Example: "I love how my right eyebrow forms a question mark whenever I'm lost in laughter." or "My apple cheeks show off my dimples."

What is one question you have about playing up a certain facial feature? And you know me ladies… focus on the positive! Example: "I really like the way liquid liner looks and I'd love to play up my eyes using it. Any tips?" or "How can I use foundation to accentuate my smooth skin, while evening out its tone?"

What's your favorite "mirror mantra"? Meaning, when you choose to celebrate yourself and your unique beauty, what do you say to yourself to keep feeling confident? Example: "Today I'm healthy and I'm so grateful!" or "Nobody has these eyes, baby!"

My Answers:

1. My favorite facial feature are my eyes because I love the bright, brown color; they seem to light up especially in the sun (and also I believe it's true that the "eyes are the windows to the sole").

2. I'm an Asian lady (Chinese) and I love my eyes (especially the color); what can I do to make them appear more noticeable (and larger) since they are my favorite facial feature. (I just started using mascara and wished I can get the lashes to stay curled since I heard that mascara can really "open up" your eyes. They don't seem to hold a curl after using a lash curler and mascara.)

3. "You're a hot mama and looking great doesn't end after getting married and having a baby, so go for it!!" (I got married 3 years ago and just had a baby on Oct 18, 2007. I refuse to let myself go just because I don't need to attract a guy and because I am a new mom.) You feel good if you look good, and that's important to me.
